I love the city. The bustle of multitudes of people each with different experiences, fears, and dreams. And yet each person also living with so many others. The sounds, smells, feels, taste and most potently the sights of a city are absolutely inspiring. I could wander the streets and imagine how humanity has built up and out and how it is in the city that man has built up great temples to his own greatness with canyons of steel and glass and machines that transport us between monumental distances. Yes I love the city because it shows the best and the worst of humanity. In the urban setting I feel a lonely comfort in the deep immersion in my brothers and sisters. A smile, a cigarette, the honk of a taxi each seem to beckon like a beautiful syren.

Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!
